Job Overview

Stein's Inc seeking a dedicated and engaged Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations with a company box-truck across the Red River Valley area, while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a DOT compliant Health Card, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting (approx. 50lb containers up to 55 gallon drums) as needed.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling techniques. Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is preferred. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods as required. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus. Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is advantageous. Knowledge of using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is beneficial.

Other Requirements

Drivers must have, or be willing and able to acquire, and DOT Health Card Drivers must be willing to acquire security clearance for entering local Military bases Drivers will be placed on a random drug and alcohol testing list Must pass pre-employment criminal/driving background checks and drug/alcohol screening Drivers must speak fluent English

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
