Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and other commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules. Deliver products directly to customers' locations while providing friendly, professional customer service. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and handle any discrepancies or issues promptly. Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance needs immediately. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates or delivery challenges. Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate responsible driving habits at all times.

Experience

Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving in urban or suburban settings. Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients during deliveries. Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, moving inventory, or operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus but not mandatory. Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmissions is desirable. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and vehicle operation.
