Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities to work with warehouse equipment and driving various types of vehicles including box trucks.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and courier vans to deliver products to customers and clients. Load and unload items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety procedures. Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering items promptly and professionally, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns. Assist with warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory when necessary. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after deliveries to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in a commercial setting. Strong knowledge of driving regulations, including experience with manual transmission vehicles. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, moving items, and load/unload cargo efficiently. Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification is preferred. Ability to navigate using GPS or route maps effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
