Duties

Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Load and unload goods efficiently using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques. Plan and follow optimized route schedules to ensure prompt deliveries across designated areas. Deliver products directly to customers' locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction. Verify delivery contents against orders, complete necessary paperwork, and obtain signatures when required. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting regular inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and preparing shipments for delivery. Handle unexpected challenges on the road with a positive attitude, adapting routes as needed while maintaining safety standards. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise on the route.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong track record of safe driving and reliable service. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and positive communication at all times. Knowledge of route planning, navigation tools, and traffic regulations to ensure efficient deliveries. Experience in moving goods within warehouses or distribution centers is advantageous. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes as needed.
