Bayo Food is a local-owned business with 20 years of experience in the seafood industry, our leadership team strives to source the best product from reputable, responsible, and sustainable sources!.
We are looking for a Refri-Van Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner and help in our production line (Repacking product).
Responsibilities
Transport finished goods from warehouse (Grand Rapids) to retail stores and distribution centers (Grand rapid, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Holland surrounding areas) Merchandise our freezer and clean it when is needed it. Lift packages up to 40 lbs. Assists other employees as needed. Exposure to extreme cold (0 or below) in a freezer/walk-in coolerenvironment. Must be a team player. Collect Payment. Variable Schedule time: Monday - Friday between 36-40 hrs per week.
Able to get in and out of van and drive with several stops during the day.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Experienced with GPS and other smartphone related applications
Follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
Input Documents/POD in our system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructionsJob Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
