Job Description

OTAD Inc., a third party contractor with a major e-commerce company, is hiring Delivery Specialists to deliver packages. We are looking for energetic, service-oriented, and driven individuals who are ready to work to join our operations. Delivery Specialists report to work at a Fairburn, GA location.

The Delivery Specialist will deliver packages to residential areas, retail locations, delivery hubs, and lockers. Successful candidates will adhere to the company's focus on service and our commitment to provide "on-time accurate delivery" to customers.

HOURS: approximately 40 hours per week, 9:15AM to approximately 7:45PM.

DAYS: a set shift (does NOT rotate), average four 10-hour days per week.

AVAILABILITY: must be open; shift will include Saturday AND Sunday plus two week days.

General Responsibilities

Drive an extra large delivery van on highways and residential areas in order to deliver packages; abiding by all transportation laws and traffic standards Review, sort, stack and load packages on the vehicle; ensure that all items are scanned and processed prior to departure Process deliveries with a handheld electronic device accurately and manages delivery progress Provides excellent customer service and displays a positive and professional attitude with customers and team members May assist in training other Delivery Specialist or assist with general tasks Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries and delivery center operations Maintains a safe driving record

Requirements

Able to operate a delivery van with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 lbs. or less Demonstrate the ability to effectively use a GPS navigation system Use a hand-held electronic device to process and complete deliveries Must be able to lift and move packages up to 50lbs Ability to walk, lift, kneel, bend, or carry packages for extended periods of time, and sometimes possibly having to walk up and down flights of stairs Delivery locations may require the delivery specialist to make up to 250 stops per day and move in and out of the vehicle each time; and do so in a safe, efficient, and timely manner Able to work approximately 40 hours per work week; organized into set 10-hour work-days Adheres to assigned routes, schedules, safety protocols, and transportations laws Strong time management and individual organization standards Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications

Must be at least 21+ years of age Maintain a valid driver's license for the state of Georgia Pass a five-panel drug test Pass a DMV and criminal background check High school diploma or equivalent
