Responsibilities

Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Load and unload goods efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple customer locations. Deliver products directly to customers' homes or business premises with professionalism and courtesy. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation for each shipment. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving items within the facility, and organizing stock. Maintain a clean driving record by adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Handle heavy lifting safely during loading/unloading processes while following proper ergonomic practices. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal operation and report any maintenance needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a solid understanding of route driving and delivery procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely; familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude; excellent communication abilities are essential. Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safety standards related to commercial driving. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is desirable; certification as a driver or similar is advantageous. Prior warehouse experience including load & unload operations will be beneficial. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety protocols.
