Job Overview

As a Deli Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our deli department, ensuring that all activities run smoothly while maintaining high standards of customer service, product quality, and safety. Your role will involve managing a team of deli associates, coordinating product orders and deliveries, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Deli Managers are also responsible for creating a positive atmosphere for both customers and employees, which includes driving sales and promoting a friendly and efficient customer service experience.

Deli Manager Responsibilities & Duties

Oversee the preparation and presentation of deli products. Service cutomers with their needs. Manage and order inventory to ensure an adequate supply of products. Train, schedule, and supervise deli staff. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints. Develop and implement merchandising strategies to increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli area. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures. Stock and maintain retail deli area.
Deli Manager Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in a management role at a grocery store. Knowledge of deli operations and food safety standards. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with sales and promotional strategies. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a grocery store deli. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds). Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
