Now Hiring: Deli Manager - Dysart's Ellsworth Travelstop Location

We're looking for an experienced, motivated Deli Manager to join our team in Ellsworth! The ideal candidate has a strong background in deli operations, leadership, and customer service -- and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Pay based on experience.


Requirements


2-3 years of management experience 2-3 years of deli or food service experience Experience with scheduling, ordering, and store operations Strong leadership and communication skills Food Service Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire Commitment to food quality, cleanliness, and excellent customer service


Key Responsibilities



Staff Management


Recruit, train, and supervise deli employees to ensure high standards of customer service Create and manage employee work schedules and approve time-off requests Address employee performance issues, providing coaching and feedback as needed Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment


Store Operations


Oversee all daily deli operations, including opening and closing procedures Keep the deli clean, organized, and well-stocked Ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and in good working condition


Food Preparation


Prepare deli items including sandwiches, and salads Ensure all food is prepared to order and meets store quality standards Maintain and replenish food displays for freshness and visual appeal


Customer Service


Greet and serve customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner Answer product questions and handle special requests or dietary needs Ensure a positive shopping experience for all guests


Sanitation & Safety


Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly Adhere to health and safety protocols, including PPE requirements


Inventory & Stocking


Monitor stock levels and rotate products regularly Check expiration dates and discard outdated items per store policy Communicate with management regarding low inventory or reorder needs


Cashier Duties


Assist with customer transactions as needed Ensure accurate pricing and proper cash handling
