Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Deck/Fence Builder to join our construction team. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing decks, fences, and related structures on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with experience working on various outdoor projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance outdoor spaces while developing your skills in the construction industry.

Duties

Measure, cut, assemble, and install decks, fences, and other wooden structures using hand tools and power tools Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment Frame carpentry including building supports, posts, and framing components for decks and fences Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely during construction processes Perform concrete forming and finishing for foundational support when required Utilize welding skills for structural reinforcement or custom metal fittings as needed Maintain safety standards on-site by following OSHA guidelines and using personal protective equipment Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met with quality workmanship Conduct landscape maintenance and hardscape work to complement fencing and decking projects when applicable

Requirements

Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related field with a focus on deck and fence building Proficiency in frame carpentry, masonry, concrete forming, concrete finishing, and masonry work preferred Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation processes Construction site experience demonstrating knowledge of safety protocols and project coordination Knowledge of landscape maintenance and hardscape installation is a plus Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to safety standards at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
