Controller - Automotive Dealership (On-Site)

Bridge Auto Group is a high-volume independent automotive dealership seeking a

hands-on Controller

to take full ownership of dealership accounting, controls, and compliance. This is an

execution role

, not an oversight or advisory position.

What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)

Own dealership accounting from start to finish Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close Bank, floorplan, and balance sheet reconciliations Deal jacket audits and funding controls Floorplan monitoring, payoffs, and audit readiness Payroll processing and commission verification Sales tax, doc fee, and regulatory compliance General ledger integrity and schedule maintenance Oversight of AP, AR, titles, and admin accounting staff Track recon expenses and variances by stock number Manage chargebacks, warranty receivables, and incentive aging Deliver accurate financial statements to ownership Establish and enforce internal controls

What You're Accountable For

Clean, on-time closes Accurate financial reporting Zero surprises from banks, lenders, or taxing authorities Early identification of financial leakage Enforcing standards across departments

Required Experience

Automotive dealership accounting experience

required

Prior Controller or Senior Accounting role preferred Strong DMS experience (hands-on) Floorplan lender and audit experience Deal auditing and funding workflow knowledge Comfortable performing reconciliations and journal entries personally Independent dealership experience strongly preferred
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
