Spearfish Veterinary Clinic is a busy, fast paced 2.5 doctor practice. We dogs and cats as well as occasional hobby farm pets.
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Daytime Kennel Attendant.
Responsibilities include providing animal care, managing boarding schedules, verifying vaccination records, and maintaining a clean facility. The successful candidate will work independently, requiring self-motivation and initiative to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. Attention to detail is essential, as the role involves communication with doctors and staff regarding any concerns related to boarded animals.
Weekday duties encompass caring for boarding animals and the clinic cat, as well as supporting techs during surgical mornings through ongoing cleaning activities. Maintaining the facility's high standards of cleanliness is a key priority, and candidates should have a genuine interest in this aspect of the role. Additional responsibilities include inventory management/coordination with the doctor for biweekly supply orders.
The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m., with possible extended hours to assist staff as needed.
After 90 day probationary period, there is a possibility of a wage increase.
