Duties
Lead the overall management of the daycare center, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and compliance with licensing regulations.
Develop and maintain enriching programs that support childhood development, preschool learning, toddler care, infant care, and special education needs.
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate caregiving staff to ensure high-quality classroom experience and effective classroom management.
Foster a safe, inclusive environment by implementing health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.
Coordinate daily activities such as classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and caregiver-child interactions to promote positive behavior and developmental milestones.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any special needs or accommodations required for children with disabilities.
Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, record keeping for childhood development milestones, licensing documentation, and staff schedules.
Ensure all staff hold necessary certifications such as first aid training and are knowledgeable about early childhood education best practices.
Promote ongoing professional development by organizing training sessions on topics like special education techniques or working with children with disabilities.
Maintain a clean, organized facility that complies with health regulations related to childcare centers.
Experience
- CDA Required
Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs.
Prior classroom experience in early childhood education settings or daycare environments demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
Experience in leadership roles within childcare centers or educational programs as a director or supervisor preferred.
Knowledge of childhood development principles combined with practical skills in caregiving techniques such as nannying or babysitting.
Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for young children to foster positive social interactions.
Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional qualifications such as special education training or experience working with children with disabilities are highly valued.
