Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our Childcare team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This role is essential in fostering the development of young minds, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive academically and socially.

Duties

Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning. Engage with students, facilitating their understanding of concepts in various subjects, including math and early childhood education. Provide individualized attention to students, particularly those with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in classroom activities. Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions between activities, promoting safety and well-being. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and behavior, implementing behavior management strategies as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that reflects a welcoming atmosphere for all learners. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in Montessori methods, childcare practices, and early childhood education.

Skills

Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Experience working with students in various settings such as daycare or early childhood education environments. Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities, fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and colleagues. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children. Basic proficiency in math concepts to assist students in their learning journey.
