Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Day Time Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of our establishment, responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests and ensuring their experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a polished appearance, and a passion for hospitality. Prior experience in host/host roles, food service, or customer service is highly valued. The Day Time Host will play a key role in managing guest relations, coordinating seating arrangements, and supporting the overall flow of service during daytime hours.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction Handle reservations and walk-in guests using POS systems such as Toast Manage waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests Assist with guest inquiries over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Support servers and kitchen staff by coordinating guest seating and timing Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Uphold guest relations by providing attentive service and addressing any concerns promptly Support hotel or hospitality operations as needed, including guest services and hospitality duties

Requirements

Previous host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively Experience with POS systems such as Toast & Seven Rooms reservation system is a plus Knowledge of hotel or guest services is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and good phone etiquette Hospitality experience, including serving or guest relations, is desirable Reliable availability during daytime hours with flexibility to adapt to busy periods

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 - 40.0 per week
