JOB SUMMARY/ACCOUNTABILITY

: To assist the Building Facilities Manager in maintaining the physical school plant and grounds so that the facility can be utilized at all times for optimal educational functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

: High school diploma or GED; must possess the physical stamina necessary to handle cleaning equipment and ladders; must be able to follow verbal and written instructions with a minimum of supervision.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Perform housekeeping and custodial functions including, but not limited to, trash removal, spills, etc. Assist with grounds work, mowing and snow removal. Assist with the unloading/loading of school supplies. Know procedures associated with setting up the necessary facilities for all athletic events and extracurricular activities. Have a working knowledge of the heating/air conditioning system within the building and be able to maintain the system in the absence of the Building Facilities Manager. Perform minor repairs such as installing new light bulbs, light ballast, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, etc. Assist with minor furniture repairs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Facilities Manager.
