The Day Porter/Maintenance position is a valued member of our crew and works at our High School campus. This position picks up and delivers food from the main campus to the high school, cleans and stocks the high school, and assist the maintenance team as needed.




General duties:

Maintain school cleanliness and sanitariness to ensure full and productive use of facilities Ensure all activities conform to school guidelines Adhere to all school health and safety policies Transports food to and from main campus/set-up lunch service Communicate effectively with all members of the school community Appropriately operate all equipment and machinery as necessary Support the philosophy and vision of ISDenver



Specific Responsibility Examples:

Clean floors nightly Disinfect hard surfaces, drinking fountains, etc. Empty trash and recycling receptacles in the appropriate locations Clean entry glass on doors Clean outside window sills on doors Wipe down desks/stack chairs Shampoo rugs as necessary Perform deep cleans as necessary Ability to work overtime when emergencies arise in order to prevent disruption of the school Assist with High School lunch service Assist maintenance when necessary Other duties as assigned

Experience in janitorial operations Janitorial certifications a plus Ability to read chemical labels Ability to read material safety data sheets Ability to initiate and complete work orders Resourcefulness in solving problems and creating efficiency in workflow Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude Strong work ethic and embraces the use of technology to enhance work Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups Clean driving record Ability to drive a standard transmission High School Diploma or Equivalent 1-2 years experience in janitorial operations Must be computer literate. English proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills + Level B2 required, C1+ preferred (based on Common European Framework of References for Languages) or equivalent certification such as TOEFL or IETLS.

Physical Demands:



Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally be required to bend, stoop or kneel

This is a 40/hr a week, year-round, benefited position. Hours are 10:30am-7pm.
