Job Description

Spectra Electrical Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company databases. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our data systems and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain database software and systems. Monitor the performance and security of databases and implement necessary improvements. Design and implement database backup and recovery plans. Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and quality checks. Develop and implement database security measures to protect sensitive data. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve efficiency. Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to users. Perform database capacity planning and identify future needs. Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and recommend relevant solutions. Document database policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server). Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization. Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies. Understanding of database security and data integrity principles. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Relevant database certifications are a plus.
