The State of New Hampshire, Department of Information Technology, Agency Software Division - DOC has a full time vacancy for Data Warehouse Developer/Systems Development Specialist V. SCOPE OF WORK : Designs, develops and maintains complex Microsoft SQL databases that support web-based business applications and on-line reporting that are critical to the State, its business partners, and the general public. Works directly with agency management and business users to analyze, define, develop, test, document, and deploy applications and databases that support the state\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives. ACCOUNTABILITIES : Demonstrate and cultivate an understanding of all aspects of data warehousing and reporting that will enable the State to build and deploy high quality, professional and secure business applications and reports to meet agency business objectives. Interviews end users to determine requirements for new application/reports and for the modification of existing applications/reports. Design detailed functional databases for agency business applications and reports as solutions to State agencies\xe2\x80\x99 business initiatives/problems. Build and maintain complex SQL relational databases to support business applications and agency reports. Provide development, support and maintenance for State government business applications and reports that utilize data warehouse services. Perform data analytics, consolidate disparate data sources using SQL Server for data warehousing. Ensures SQL Server Integrated Service (SSIS) jobs and functions are operating at optimal levels to ensure uninterrupted services. Analyze and research acute or on-going database and/or application issues as assigned. Devise solution, assist in implementation of solution. Leads business partners in testing and certification of developed applications/reports and provides training when necessary. Perform code reviews and other duties assigned for other agency applications as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education: Bachelor\'s degree from a recognized college or university with at least fifteen (15) credit hours in the field of computer sciences. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Experience: Five years\' experience as a computer programmer or systems analyst associated with a late generation medium or large scale on-line computer systems or computer networks similar to the recruiting agency; at least two years of which shall have been involved with systems analysis. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. License/Certification: Must be eligible to hold a valid New Hampshire driver\'s license and have access to transportation for use in statewide travel. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS : Experience in data warehouse, web application and business report development using various software languages and platforms with the following desired: Classic ASP, VB, HTML, Javascript, XML and CSS. Technical knowledge and understanding of relational database design and MS SQL skills are required, .NET knowledge and skills desired. PreferredWORK TRAITS: Displays the aptitude and desire to learn other related technologies easily and efficiently. Ability to evaluate present systems, organize data and develop new systems procedures based on user input, system constraints, and prioritized responses. Ability to communicate effectively with various department and division representatives. Ability to reduce problems to basic details. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, superiors, associates and with representatives from other state departments.
