Data warehouse design, configuration, and support for mission-critical enterprise data warehouse and reporting. Familiar with and responsible for documenting concepts, practices, and procedures. Design, implement, test, and debug complex queries to extract, calculate, transform, and load data. Design, implement, and test data schemas. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Job Responsibilities:
DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPMENT: Work with IT personnel, central administrative staff, and end users to conduct data analysis and validation. Design, implement, test, debug complex queries to extract, calculate, transform, and load data to data warehouse. Follow programming design principles and best practices. Comply with software quality assurance standards, business goals, and project timelines in an agile delivery environment. Monitor release/upgrade notifications and validate related warehouse functionality. Document and share changes with colleagues. (35%)
DATA AND PROCESS DESIGN: Work with IT data modelers, central administrative staff, and end users to design data warehouse data models, data sets, and data definitions for enterprise business intelligence (EBI) reporting and for use with data visualization technology solutions.(30%)
DATA WAREHOUSE ADMINISTRATION / SYSTEM TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Manage daily tickets and cyclical (release/upgrades) administration of data warehouse solutions in collaboration with other IT personnel, campus partners, and the campus community at large. Ensure the overall health of the technology platform. Reduce operational complexity. Design and implement system security. Perform capacity planning and management. Serve as escalation point for production and/or platform issues. Coordinate and communicate system-related events. . (25%)

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 1 year of professional work experience.+LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in the following:Data warehouse administration.
ETL for business reporting needs.
Data warehouse design, configuration, and support.
Understanding of Relational databases.
Understanding of SQL language.
Examples of Work:Assist with data warehouse administration tasks.
Translates business questions and requirements into ETL (extraction, transformation, and load) and/or data warehouse processes, defining and capturing metadata and rules associated with ETL and/or data warehouse processes.
Researches and understands source and target data structures, ETL and/or data warehouse processes, and products.
Maps source system data to target system data model.
Develops ETL and/or data warehouse processes using organizational ETL and/or data warehouse tools.
Complies with BI standard operating procedures and institutional data management policies.
Demonstrates effective knowledge of ETL and/or data warehouse tool architectures, functions, features, and programming languages.
Provides accurate results that satisfy functional requirements.
Adheres to organization's design policies including maintaining current documentation.
Provides troubleshooting for ETL and/or data warehouse artifacts.
Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), functional owners, and other ITS staff.
