Gallagher is looking for a hands on Data Solutions Architect to drive the transformation of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s data platform into the cloud. Gallagher has grown significantly over the last 10 years and needs to build a corporate wide data strategy to align. The incumbent will be working with vendors, the current data team, other divisions and enterprise architects to create the global future of data at Gallagher. Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and design enterprise data and analytics cloud solutions
• Develop roadmaps for legacy applications to migrate to newly developed cloud based platforms
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand and document their business needs and technology requirements
• Design, code and test data centric solutions
• Work with Infrastructure team in developing cloud first architecture and developing infrastructure as code
• Design deployment pipelines leveraging devops tools
• Work with team to develop a center of excellence for corporate data
• Perform build buy analysis for data capabilities needed for new platform
• Select and work with third party implementation partners
• Be involved from the beginning to the end of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Work with vendors to implement key technical solutions ( Data catalog, MDM , Security solutions )
• Mentor and help grow the careers of others
• Contribute the enterprise architecture of Gallagher

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher
• 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working with data engineering technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Strong experience working with database technologies such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong experience with ELT architectures, SQL, and database / data warehouse development
• Intermediate experience designing data models (dimensional, data vault, third normal form, etc.)
• Advanced experience with Cloud PaaS design patterns with tools such as AWS, Azure, GCP
• Have written complex transformation logic to make the consumption of data clean, performant, and re-usable
• Experience guiding, mentoring, and developing junior developers
• Ability to bridge the gap between a technical team and business stakeholders
• Polished written and oral communication skills
• Can be productive independently and in a team environment
• Experience working with global dispersed data

Preferred:

• Experience building solutions with data privacy requirements ( GDPR , CCPA, etc )
• Experience working with vendor master data management solutions ( Reltio , Cluedin , Riversand , Profisee, etc )
• Experience working with data catalogs ( Colibra , Elation , Purview )
