Salary Range:

$90,000.00 to $110,000.00 Annually. Salary will be dependent upon experience.

Location:

San Antonio, Denver, Colorado Springs or Phoenix. (Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule)

SUMMARY:

Matrix seeks a driven individual to provide Data Science and Business Intelligence support to the firm as part of our Advanced Solutions Division. Support to Advanced Solutions is often related directly or indirectly to the Department of Defense and will include data collection and analysis, leveraging various programming languages to meet client needs, researching and writing unique reports. It may also include data management, exposure to cloud platforms, the use of APIs, and other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support continuous process improvement and business process reengineering projects through focused application of sound data science, data analysis, and mathematical principles, to include process mapping, data collection, analysis, & visualization Support project execution to include the development of technical documents and presentations and contributing to other project deliverables Support project execution with statistical and other technical skills, to include but not limited to: statistical analysis, simulation, modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems; digital dashboard construction, linear regression, parameter estimates, connection of data silos, and process automation Support proposal development by providing technical content and coordinating with others to incorporate the input and feedback of both clients and team members Meet with clients and their representatives as an individual or part of a team to present results, explain complex technical and/or statistical concepts, resolve issues, answer questions, and maintain positive, constructive relations Research areas or issues as assigned and write formal and informal reports of varying lengths focused on summarizing information or persuading readers to support objectives

COMPETENCIES

Proficiency and demonstrated ability to work independentlyin statistical analysis, simulation, modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems Proficiency in programming tools and languages, to include SQL, Python, R, and APIs Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, and others) Well-versed in use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, to include Power Platform and SharePoint Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Ability to harness the above in the scraping of PDFs or web for relevant information Strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills (written and oral) and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize and distill complex topics into concise reports/presentations Possess the ability to explain complex technical information in a manner comprehensible to non-technical audiences Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and other facility offices

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduate degree in data science, statistics, operations research, engineering, or related field of study 4 or more years of relevant experience in data science, data management, and/or data analysis, to include internship(s) Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company's MVR screening
