Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated

Data Science Intern

to join our team and help us leverage data to enhance our operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their analytical and programming skills to real-world challenges in the construction industry. You will assist in automating routine tasks, developing data models, and creating tools that improve efficiency across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from various departments (project management, time and material tickets, equipment tracking, etc.). Automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows. Support predictive analytics initiatives (e.g., project timelines, cost forecasting, equipment usage). Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to identify areas where automation can reduce manual work. Document findings, processes, and provide recommendations for future improvements.

Required Tech Stack & Skills

Programming Languages:

Jupyter Notebook, Python, (NumPy, PyTorch.

Data Visualization

:

Python libraries such as matplotlib

Data Management:

Excel/Google Sheets (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros).

Automation Tools:

Power Automate, UiPath, or similar (basic exposure is a plus).

Version Control:

Git/GitHub (basic familiarity).

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud platforms for data storage or analytics. Exposure to machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). Understanding of APIs and data integration. Interest in the construction industry and operational workflows.

Working Conditions:

Office/Outdoor Environment - sitting at a desk, physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing. Ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
