Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.
What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

They are a mid-sized company looking to find experienced team players to join their collaborative, goal oriented organization.
Pay rate is dependent on experience level.

Data Entry/Customer Service Rep Details:

• Temporary position
• $19.00 to $21.00 /hour
• Part Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 09:00am to 01:00pm)

• First point of contact taking and processing customer orders
• Confirming all order info is entered quickly and accurately into systems
• Providing order status updates and changes to clients as needed
• Ensuring customer satisfaction from order placement through product delivery
• Receiving and sharing client feedback regarding product and services

Data Entry/Customer Service Rep Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in order entry or sales support
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience doing volume computer entry into a database accurately
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to problem solve and resolve client escalations

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
