Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing a variety of network and telecommunication equipment within our data centre environment. Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and VoIP systems. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, Avaya telecommunication equipment, and Juniper network devices. Perform equipment repairs and upgrades on computer hardware and related electronic components. Assist with network installation projects, ensuring proper wiring schematics are followed and safety standards are maintained. Utilise hand tools effectively for cable management, equipment assembly, and minor repairs. Support the setup and maintenance of telecommunication systems including Ethernet networks and VoIP solutions. Document system configurations, schematics, and maintenance activities accurately for future reference. Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal operation of data centre facilities and minimise downtime.

Requirements

Proven experience with computer networking, including Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and network installation procedures. Knowledge of telecommunication systems such as CCTV surveillance, Avaya telephony, VoIP technology, and Juniper devices. Hands-on experience with computer hardware assembly, repair, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics reading and electrical wiring principles. Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently for equipment installation and repair tasks. Strong understanding of electrical systems relevant to data centre environments. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and system configuration records. Prior experience working in a data centre or similar technical environment is preferred but not essential. Pay: $24.42 - $29.41 per hour
