In this role, you will transform complex datasets into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across retail operations, inventory management, compliance, and customer experience. Responsibilities



Collect, clean, and analyze datasets from sources including point-of-sale systems, inventory platforms (e.g., METRC-integrated systems), customer engagement tools, and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to communicate insights to retail leadership, operations, finance, and merchandising teams. Design, maintain, and optimize database structures using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases to support analytics needs. Partner with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define requirements, prioritize analytics requests, and deliver clear, actionable insights aligned with business goals. Support analytics project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, development, quality testing, deployment, and post-implementation evaluation. Build data models to support forecasting, product performance analysis, inventory optimization, and customer behavior insights. Develop and manage ETL processes using Python, R, Talend, VBA, Bash, or similar tools to automate data ingestion, transformation, validation, and integration with linked data sources. Support cannabis-specific reporting needs, including compliance audits, batch-level tracking, and reconciliation processes. Document processes, workflows, and data definitions to support consistency, transparency, and cross-team knowledge-sharing.

Skills & Qualifications



Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and/or Looker with the ability to develop clear, compelling dashboards for diverse audiences. Strong SQL skills; experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or comparable systems preferred. Experience conducting business analysis and translating data findings into strategic recommendations. Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and collaborative, iterative development environments. Understanding of SDLC principles, including version control, testing, and deployment best practices. Hands-on experience with Python and/or R for data analysis, automation, and predictive modeling. Experience with ETL tools such as Talend and knowledge of database design best practices. Ability to integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including METRC-compliant platforms. Experience with VBA for workflow automation and Bash scripting for Unix-based environments is a plus. Familiarity with process-mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is beneficial. Cannabis retail, METRC, or seed-to-sale system experience strongly preferred.
Pay: $57,657.55 - $100,000.00 per year
