About the Role

NC Dance Clinics is seeking experienced, upbeat Dance Instructors to lead after-school weekday and/or Saturday classes. Classes include jazz, hip hop, and/or introductory dance team styles such as pom, kick, and stylized movement. Instructors will guide students through warm-ups, technical progressions, and performance-based choreography, culminating in end-of-season showcases or community events.

This is a great opportunity for those passionate about dance education, studio dance instructors (jazz, hip hop, street jazz classes) or current/former high school or collegiate dance team members (Introductory Dance Team classes focusing on jazz, kick and pom).

Responsibilities

Teach after-school weekday (approx. 4-6 PM) and/or Saturday dance classes - timing flexible based on availability Choreograph and lead age-appropriate routines in jazz, hip hop, and dance team styles Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive class environment Prepare students for in-class or public performances Communicate with program director, site leads, and families Attend occasional meetings or dress rehearsals as needed

Qualifications

Experience teaching dance to children (required) Strong background in jazz, hip hop, street jazz, or dance team technique Positive energy, strong classroom management, and a love for working with kids Dependable, communicative, and team-oriented

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
