The Dairy General Laborer supports daily milk production operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient dairy processing. This position is responsible for moving milk, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and supporting packaging and storage activities.





This is an active, physical role ideal for someone who enjoys production, warehouse, or food-manufacturing work and wants to be part of a respected local company that values its people.

What You'll Do

Move, handle, and restock milk containers, crates, and wagons safely and efficiently Package, label, date, and cap milk and other dairy products for sale or further processing Set up, clean, and operate dairy production and packaging equipment. (e.g., tanks, pumps, fillers) Maintain and clean coolers, wagons, and storage areas according to sanitation standards Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Communicate with team members and other departments about production flow and inventory needs Identify and report any quality, mechanical, or safety issues promptly

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in dairy, warehouse, food production, or manufacturing environments preferred but not required. Ability to lift and move up to 60+ pounds and push/pull milk wagons weighing 200-700 pounds with assistance. Comfortable working in cold, wet, and noisy environments (35F-60F). Dependable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule

Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) Early morning start times (typically 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM depending on business needs) Includes weekends and some holidays Overtime opportunities available during peak seasons
