78001 D Lube Tech

The Entry Level Technician I is expected to:

\xe2\x96\xa1 Protect the legal, financial and moral wellbeing of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships\xe2\x80\x99.

\xe2\x96\xa1 Perform lube, oil, filter and multipoint service for customer vehicles.

\xe2\x96\xa1 Seek ways to improve business operation efficiencies and customer service.

\xe2\x96\xa1 Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.

Reports to: Service Manager

Essential Job Functions:

1. Ensure Maximum Production and Customer Service.

\xc2\xb7 Perform all lube, oil, filter and multi-point inspection processes to ensure proper diagnoses.

\xc2\xb7 Must use dealership software such as CDK, Xtime, Wi-advisor, Auto.live, Rapid Recon, and others required as per management.

\xc2\xb7 Assess any supplemental vehicle needs.

\xc2\xb7 Perform quality service at all times and notify management of any substandard processes, parts or procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Achieve customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate service and communication.

\xc2\xb7 Follow policies and procedures as per your specific manufacturer(s) manual.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain employee, customer and vendor confidence while protecting operations by exercising discretion when handling sensitive confidential information.

\xc2\xb7 Complete and maintain all Larry H. Miller Dealerships\xe2\x80\x99 required training.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.

\xc2\xb7 Perform all other job duties as requested by management.

\xc2\xb7 Work performed in a dealership setting due to the location of customer vehicles and shop

supplies.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and move about facilities.

\xc2\xb7 Required vision include close, vision, distance, peripheral and the ability to adjust focus.

\xc2\xb7 Required to lift-up to a minimum of 100lbs.

\xc2\xb7 Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.

\xc2\xb7 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.

\xc2\xb7 Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by department supervisor/manager.

\xc2\xb7 In general, this position is assigned regular business hours; however, it is typical to work more than 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education

\xc2\xb7 High school diploma or the equivalent.

2. Experience

\xc2\xb7 1 year as a technician\xe2\x80\x99s apprentice preferred.

3. Certifications

\xc2\xb7 Maintain valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and MVR record within company policy requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Applicable Factory training credentials.

4. Skills

\xc2\xb7 Active Learning- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

\xc2\xb7 Learning Strategies- Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.

\xc2\xb7 Repairing- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.

\xc2\xb7 Troubleshooting- Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

\xc2\xb7 Quality Control Analysis- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

5. Knowledge

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Larry H. Miller Dealerships\xe2\x80\x99 current company management systems desirable.

\xc2\xb7 Interacting with Computers- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

\xc2\xb7 English Language- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

\xc2\xb7 Customer and Personal Service- Knowledge of principles and process for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

\xc2\xb7 Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

\xc2\xb7 Hazardous Materials- General knowledge of proper procedures and safety measures for handling items that may contain hazardous materials.
