Role Overview
Claris Consulting is seeking a
Cybersecurity Technical Lead
to serve as the hands-on technical expert for our security services. This role is ideal for a senior consultant or security engineer who wants ownership of technical execution while gaining exposure to executive-level security work.
You will lead technical cybersecurity engagements and partner closely with senior leadership on client delivery, strategy, and growth of our cybersecurity practice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and technical security reviews
Perform network, system, and application security testing
Support CISO and vCISO-style engagements from a technical perspective
Translate technical findings into clear, executive-ready reports and recommendations
Advise clients on remediation strategies and security best practices
Support incident response and security investigations as needed
Participate in presales discussions as a technical subject matter expert
Help shape and mature Claris Consulting's technical cybersecurity offerings
Required Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or technical risk
Strong understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common security tools
Ability to independently run security assessments and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Consulting or client-facing experience
Must be based in Hawaii and authorized to work in the U.S.
Strongly Preferred
Experience in a top-tier consulting or advisory environment with exposure to complex client engagements (e.g., Big 4, national consulting firms, or major defense contractors
One or more relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, CCNA/CCNP, CEH, GPEN, OSCP, Security+, etc.)
Government or defense client experience
Active or previously held U.S. security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one
Familiarity with NIST, ISO, RMF, FedRAMP, or similar frameworks
