With two dedicated CVOR suites, a supportive team environment, and highly collaborative staffing, this is a prime opportunity for seasoned CVOR nurses seeking hands-on experience with complex open-heart and vascular cases.

Roles & Responsibilities
Circulate for a variety of cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, thoracotomies, VATS, carotids, AAA repairs, and robotic-assisted cases.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the CVOR team to maintain a smooth, safe intraoperative workflow.
Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment readiness, and ensure sterile-field integrity.
Actively participate in emergency and emergent cases when needed.
Take part in scheduled call rotations (1-2 weekdays + every 2-3 weekends).
Maintain rapid call response time of 15 minutes.
Document accurately using EPIC.
Cross-train into other OR specialties when CV case volumes are low.
Float as needed to support units as a sitter or helping hands (no patient assignment).
Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of recent CVOR RN experience
Strong cardiovascular surgery background (CABG, valves, open heart)
Must be able to work all assigned shifts, call rotations, and holidays
Ability to cross-train in general OR when needed
Certifications Required:
BLS
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active RN license in applicable state
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced cardiovascular/CT surgery procedural knowledge
Strong circulating skills in high-acuity surgical environments
Proficiency with EPIC
Ability to thrive in fast-paced OR settings
Excellent communication and intraoperative teamwork
Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical protocols
