We are seeking a Cutting Tool Specialist to join our team of talented people to help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. This position works out of our facility in Florence; SC. Come and grow with us!



The Cutting Tool Specialist position, under the direction of the Regional Manager is responsible for helping promote, educate and problem solve issues in conjunction with the territory managers, customer service group, regional sales manager, BMS technical team, and USNR technicians. Their specific area of focus being bandsaws, circle saws, knives, filing equipment, and sawing/cutting optimization. In conjunction with the outside sales team, this person will be responsible for calling on existing and prospective customers (primary and secondary) to offer technical support, training, troubleshooting and help reconcile product warranty issues. The CTS will also provide customers with saw filing solutions, saw design, and saw performance evaluations when invited to do so. This position is responsible for providing instruction to students at our Burton Technical Center, regional saw filer meetings and other training events. They will participate in testing new products and materials as well as create and present technical data when requested to do so.

Create and maintain positive relationships direct with customers and with channel partners Promote and provide instruction to students at our Burton Technical Center (25% of job responsibilities), in addition to regional saw filer meetings and other training events Overnight travel required (25% of job responsibilities) Provide customers and our sales team with technical support for sawing / cutting applications Act as technical representative at trade shows and conventions (nationally and/or regionally) Generate and provide sales leads to our sales team based on technical support at the customers location Investigate and evaluate warranty claims (RGA's) in the field, providing data back to the production plant Assist outside sales with technical support on marketing and promotional activities Work in conjunction with USNR Service Techs when needed Additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

The value you bring:





High School Diploma or GED, required; advanced education and/or related certification(s), a plus Business Degree or equivalent two years proven saw filing experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of audiences. Strong communication skills: ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations Decision-making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task Work schedule flexibility, with or without notice, to accommodate the needs of the business Previous Saw Filing experience (or at least sawmilling experience) is preferred.
