THE POSITION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Cutter Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining cutting machines. This role requires a professional who can work efficiently and accurately, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain a machine to cut stacks of paper in preparation for binding, folding, stitching, or shipment to the customer. Review job specifications to determine proper machine set up. Measure paper sheets and enter cutting positions into the cutting computer. Move stacks of paper sheets from one piece of equipment to another through the cutting process. Operate a computer-controlled cutting machine. Examine cut material for any quality issues or imperfections. Wrap individual reams of finished product. Record job information on load tags and time sheets. Change cutting knives and lubricate cutter as required.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. 1-2 years of recent dependable work experience. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to frequently lift 26-50 lbs. Must be able to frequently carry 21-25 lbs. Must be mechanically inclined. Must have basic computer keyboard knowledge. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
