POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing individual to join our Westside State Bank team at our Wall Lake, Iowa location. Individual must be able to learn in a fast-paced environment, be accepting of change and willing to embrace new systems and technologies. Responsibilities include opening new accounts and problem solving to assist customers in a professional environment. Will be expected to provide exceptional customer service by processing a variety of transactions, responding to questions and cross-selling products. Applicant must be familiar with and confident typing and using a computer.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, preparing change orders for commercial customers. Balance cash drawer daily, as well as ATM weekly. Process various night-drop and mail transactions as needed. Wrap and bag coin, verify currency and turn in mutilated currency. Perform miscellaneous duties such as filing, answering phones, scanning, faxing, maintaining supplies, etc. Open and close new accounts including checking, savings, time deposits and retirement accounts. Operate computer equipment according to daily instructions. Assist Computer Operations Supervisor/Cashier when needed. Assist Branch Manager and/or Loan Assistant when needed. Assume additional responsibilities as required.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Two-year associate degree with banking experience preferred. Familiarity with computer operations. Knowledge of accounting principles and check collection process helpful. Ability to exercise good judgment along with the ability to multi-task while remaining in charge of the situation. One or more years performing customer contact job-related duties. Must have a good personality and ability to meet and deal effectively with people. Must be honest, reliable and dependable. Needs to be a self-starter and able to work without constant supervision. Ability to type and use a calculator.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have good sight to be able to verify and count currency and coin. Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Ability to lift and/or carry coin bags or other items up to 30 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
