Role Overview



As the

Customer Service Representative

, you'll be the critical link between our customers, our office, and our field crews. Your role combines customer support with real-time logistics: answering client calls and emails, scheduling and dispatching trucks, tracking the progress of jobs, and confirming job completion. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities



Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone and email, delivering outstanding service, empathy, and professionalism.

Take new service requests, changes, or complaints, clearly understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable work orders.

Coordinate daily dispatch operations: assign our trucks and crews to sites using internal software / mapping tools.

Monitor and track the status of shipments and jobs, confirming "Done" status once a job is completed.

Provide real-time updates to customers on crew ETA, service changes, or delays.

Liaise with drivers and field teams to ensure clarity on assignments, site requirements, and special instructions.

Troubleshoot issues as they arise -- ex: delayed arrivals, access problems, or customer concerns -- escalate when necessary, and follow up until resolution.

Maintain accurate logs, records, and routing data in our dispatching system.

Support account setup: collect service details, confirm terms, and ensure documentation flows correctly.

Use mapping tools and software to read site maps, plan efficient routes, and optimize deployment.

Identify and suggest process improvements in dispatch workflows for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Occasionally assist with other customer service tasks or special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills



Proven experience (1+ years) in customer service, dispatching, logistics, or a similar coordination role (e.g., waste management, home services).

Bilingual: Fluent English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing) -- to communicate with customers and crews.

Strong verbal & written communication skills; professional, patient, and solution-oriented.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of handling a high volume of calls, emails, and dispatch tasks.

Proficient with computers. Experience with mapping tools, route planning, dispatch software or logistics platforms is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret digital maps or site layouts.

Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Detail oriented, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Customer-focused and empathetic, able to handle complaints or problematic situations professionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
