A Dave's Fresh Marketplace Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing a high level of customer service, ensuring that the front-end operations are running smoothly, solving customers' issues, and handling internal and external store communications. Customer Service Representatives' responsibilities include maintaining customer service as per company standard, light bookkeeping, housekeeping, merchandising, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention in adherence to all Dave's Fresh Marketplace Policy/Store standards. Additionally, Customer Service Representatives are responsible for the safeguarding of Dave's Fresh Marketplace assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year cashier experience required
Prior light bookkeeping experience preferred, but not required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be comfortable with customer facing interactions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment - includes greeting and acknowledging customers, smiling, making eye contact, and all other components of customer service
Assists customers by providing information, answering questions, locating products, and/or contacting store management for further assistance
Call for a manager's assistance and empathetically interact with dissatisfied customers until the manager arrives to assist the customer
Managing front-end operations - I.E., directing lines, assisting cashiers, maintaining flow of cashier breaks, etc.
Counting cashiers' drawers, handling money, and conducting light bookkeeping tasks
Accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions and maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
Responsible for bagging groceries and ensuring that the customer departs with all of their bags
Process refunds and exchanges according to Dave's Marketplace policies, returning the unwanted merchandise to its appropriate location
Answer phone calls and direct calls appropriately
Check internal emails and store-to-store mail, and distribute accordingly
Handling the distribution of catering orders to the necessary departments
Perform online and instant lottery functions
Issue rainchecks
Assists Customer Service Manager as needed
Maintains clear communication with Customer Service Manager at all times
Notifies management of pricing discrepancies
Adherence to department-specific dress code policy
Cashier as scheduled/needed
Adhering to all Dave's Fresh Marketplace policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
Maintaining a knowledge of Weekly Ad products
Awareness of food allergens; able to answer customer questions regarding food allergens
Communicating customer requests and suggestions to management
Performing other duties as assigned
Completes all cleaning tasks as required
