Job Description

We need a full-time veterinary client service representative to join our team to service our growing community. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, detail-oriented individual who can learn quickly on the job and who will be confident working independently with clients after being trained. The ideal candidate will love working with clients and animals and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment and willing to handle heavy call volume.

We offer a 36-40 hour work week, with 4-10 hour days. We are open Monday-Friday 8a-6p.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

Greeting clients, showing them to rooms, and gathering appropriate paperwork

Managing clinic schedule and creating appointments for surgery and appointments

Answering phones and responding to questions and appointment requests

Managing phone lines, make outgoing calls to advise clients, reschedule appointments and ask for patient updates

Maintain the client patient database

Preparing patient charts for visits

Ensure all charges are in and collect payment for service

Charting patient information in both paper and electronic form. Maintain medical records

Cleaning exam rooms

Ideal candidate will:

Love people and animals and be comfortable working closely with them

Have strong computer skills and be able to work at a computer for extended periods

Be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, go up and down stairs, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs

Have a positive, can-do, customer service-oriented attitude

Be a detail-oriented multi-tasker who can manage several duties in a fast-paced environment

Have excellent communication skills

Work efficiently and accurately to maximize productivity, taking initiative to find and complete tasks or assist other team members.

Punctually follow designated work schedule

Maintain a professional appearance and manner.

Must be available to work all hours that the clinic is open plus additional time for opening and closing duties.

Experience/post-secondary education is desired.
