Inter-Island Solar Supply is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in a fast-paced distribution warehouse environment in Kahului. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient sales counter operation.

Individuals with solar, electrical, plumbing, and/or general contracting experience including design/installation are encouraged to apply. An ability to work both independently, prioritizing deadlines, and efficiently manage multi-tasking with minimal supervision is a strong must.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining a professional, courteous, and efficient counter service environment.

Sales Support:

Assist customers with product selection, upselling, and cross-selling. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including refunds & exchanges. Collaborate with the sales team to implement promotional initiatives and pricing strategies. Assist in providing technical support which may include design assistance, installation & operation support, as well as troubleshooting. Our company provides training and continued education throughout your duration of employment. Assist in coordinating delivery and procurement.

Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and timely restocking of counter inventory. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory policies. Identify and address any inventory discrepancies or stock shortages.

Operational Efficiency:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales counter area. Implement efficient workflows to minimize customer wait times and maximize transaction speed. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Full-time in person

Salary:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or warehouse operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory management software. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred:

2-3 years experience in a distribution or warehouse setting. Knowledge of the solar or construction industry, or product lines carried by the warehouse.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
