Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly | Monday-Saturday (with a day off during the week and every Sunday off)



Pay: 17.00 to $20.00 Per Hour based on experience level.

Battery Outfitters is seeking a Retail Lead to guide, support, and develop our retail team while ensuring every customer leaves with the right power solution and a smile. In this role, you'll lead by example--coaching team members on customer service, maintaining high store standards, and delivering exceptional experiences whether someone needs a car battery replacement or help with a key fob.



We're looking for positive, dependable people who enjoy helping others and are ready to step into a leadership position.

What You'll Do

Lead and coach retail team members to deliver excellent customer service



Greet and assist customers with product recommendations and technical support



Test and install car, watch, and specialty batteries with accuracy and care



Support and model our "I Promise" customer care standards



Oversee daily store operations, including organization, stocking, and cleanliness



Process sales transactions and returns with professionalism



Help manage and receive inventory deliveries



Foster a culture of teamwork, dependability, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

A perfect score on a Drug Screen that includes THC



A positive attitude and passion for serving customers



Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others



Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic



Willingness to learn and expand product knowledge



Comfort with basic tools or willingness to learn battery installations



Attention to detail and commitment to safety

Valid driver's license required

Prior retail or customer service experience (leadership experience preferred)

About Battery Outfitters Inc

In 1980, Battery Outfitters opened in Golden, Missouri, selling batteries primarily for the automotive, commercial, and marine industries. In 1996, we added a full line of batteries for household goods to our line of products. Back then, the concept of a battery shop was new to the industry. Yet we took the leap and opened our first retail store in Joplin, MO that same year. Now, we proudly have locations in 6 states that serve over a 15 state area with Battery Outfitters online, 9 retail locations, 3 warehouses and 25 route trucks carrying our signature "Pro-Series" and "Pro Guide" batteries, plus our stores carrying the "New" Pro-Guide Lithium battery, plus many others.
