Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail will ensure that each guest has an enjoyable experience. This is a tipped position.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Food handlers certificate required within 30 days of hire date. Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Experience with Toast POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed. Must obtain a Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.25 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
