We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused

Customer Service Associate

to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional service, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting store operations to create a welcoming environment for all shoppers.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections Operate POS systems efficiently for sales, returns, and exchanges Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products and suggest complementary items to enhance sales opportunities Manage merchandising tasks including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing merchandise as needed Provide bilingual support to serve diverse customer needs effectively Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via messaging platforms Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts when applicable

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages) is advantageous Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math concepts such as basic math calculations and merchandising principles Ability to perform upselling techniques and product demos confidently Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environment is beneficial Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly and efficiently Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team and independently as needed
