Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced retail environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle customer inquiries will be essential in ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a keen understanding of retail operations, and the ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions and cash handling. Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store environment. Conduct product demos to educate customers about new items and promotions. Utilize effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain knowledge of store products, services, and promotions to assist customers effectively. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced communication with diverse customers. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is advantageous. Ability to demonstrate products confidently during product demos. Supervisory experience is a nice-to-have for potential leadership opportunities. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
