Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Custodian / Maintenance Staff is responsible for all custodial duties assigned. Boston Avenue takes great pride in its facilities and expects all custodial staff to own their job. The Custodial Team works extremely well together and this position will be a primary contributor to this team. This position, under the leadership and supervision of the Facilities Director will work with all other custodial staff to assist with the needs, programs, and opportunities offered by Boston Avenue.

EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean assigned areas, including all floors in these areas, emptying trash, dusting, cleaning glass and tabletops.

Dust for cobwebs in all corners and windows, also dust window blinds.

Answer calls from members that may need help.

Dust, vacuum, empty trash for any offices assigned.

Clean restrooms in assigned areas and make sure they are properly stocked with paper and soap products.

Wipe down all touched areas with a disinfectant cleaner. (Tables, door handles, light switches) If its touched, disinfectant it.

Keep carpets and floors clean using proper cleaner and machine.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma required.

1+ years' experience in custodial work

Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

Ability to work a Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Ability and desire to find the needs and take care of them before being asked.

SKILLS:

Ability to be an effective team member with all co-workers and volunteers.

Strong attention to detail.

Some IT skills preferred

Demonstrated team player who values consistency, trust, honesty and all of the Boston Avenue Core Values.

: $14-$15 per hour
