Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high-quality service in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained. Carry out custodial duties in various facilities including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to maintain a safe environment. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while performing cleaning tasks.

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance can be beneficial for this role. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
