Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall upkeep and appearance of our premises through efficient custodial work.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and fixtures. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor polishers (buffing experience preferred). Handle trash removal and recycling processes efficiently. Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or repairing fixtures when necessary. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all custodial activities. Assist with special projects such as residential painting or industrial cleaning as needed. Maintain a detailed log of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues to management promptly.

Requirements

Proven janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs or facilities maintenance are advantageous. Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety and efficiency. Pay: $14.00 per hour
