New Hire: Entry Level Rate $17.84/hr. Current employees with seniority in the bargaining unit, please refer to the Salary Schedule established by the bargaining unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clean/sanitize desk/table tops, door handles, restroom fixtures

Cleans glass

Dusts horizontal surfaces, clocks, overhead screens, and blinds

Wet mopping of floors, spot cleaning of carpets and hard flooring

Assists with deep cleaning during break periods--stripping, scrub & recoat, carpet extraction, cleaning restrooms, glass, and furniture

Trash removal

Removes snow

Minor grounds keeping

Lawn mowing

Assists with delivery of supplies

Properly maintains equipment

Reports maintenance issues to Head and Lead custodians

Performs other duties as assigned

Have physical ability to lift and carry 56 lbs. Have the physical ability to climb an eight-foot ladder and perform custodial tasks In addition to these specific qualifications this person must meet all the general qualifications as listed in the "lead custodian" job description of the Davenport Community School District as posted on the district web site.

Special Qualification Desired:

(Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)Must have high school degree or GED Must be able to direct others to the successful completion of assigned tasks Have a thorough knowledge of all cleaning procedures, chemicals & equipment Ability to learn how to operate a computer, use email, open attachments and complete electronic work orders.
