Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct detailed janitorial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitization to uphold hygiene standards. Carry out specialized floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain optimal flooring conditions. Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep to support overall building operations. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and replenished as needed. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support industrial cleaning projects or large-scale sanitation efforts when required to meet health standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods including buffing and polishing, and the use of cleaning machinery. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and painting is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with staff members. Certification or experience in industrial cleaning or porter duties is advantageous.
