Overview

This position provides building maintenance. The Maintenance Team provides set up and changeover of the building from one event to the next.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $13 to $15.00.

About the Venue

Formerly the Casper Events Center, the venue was renamed to the Ford Wyoming Center in January 2021. The Center is a 28,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, built high on a hill overlooking the city of Casper, Casper Mountain, and the scenic Platte River Valley. Funded entirely by the City\xe2\x80\x99s portion of an optional 1% sales tax, the venue opened on April 17, 1982. The arena features a horseshoe-shaped seating bowl with 8,000 seats.

The Ford Wyoming Center hosts a variety of different events each year, including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies among other corporate and community events. The arena is host to the Wyoming High School Basketball, Volleyball, and Wrestling Tournaments, the Wyoming High School Art Symposium, Wyoming High School Marching Band Competition and Wyoming High School Spirit and Cheer Competition. The venue has been home of the College National Finals Rodeo each June since 2001.

The Ford Wyoming Center is owned by the City of Casper, Wyoming and is proudly managed by OVG360, a division of Oak View Group.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for keeping facility at a presentable cleanliness and sanitation level
• Operate and maintain all cleaning devices
• Responsible for complete facility changeover as required by the event schedule and facility guidelines
• Assist with emergency repairs to Arena equipment to ensure the success of a change over
• Performs craft services such as minor plumbing, minor electrical, minor carpentry, and painting
• Make scheduled equipment rounds and logs pertinent operating data

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skill necessary to deal effectively with guests, vendors, staff, and other facility users
• Be reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual
• Be a self-starter; have ability to take directions, and be able to work with minimal supervision; Be able to work in small and large groups to complete required task within time constraints and in a safe manner
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, mainly nights, weekends and extra hours as needed: and work in variable weather conditions
• Be a able to lift and carry equipment and supplies of up to 80 pounds on a regular basis
• Knowledge of general tools necessary to perform changeovers in the arena Knowledge of all cleaning supplies needed for sweeping, seat cleaning, floor care, restroom cleaning and disinfecting, and wall, and glass cleaning.
