Job Description

Summary:



Cannabis Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the cannabis plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, and overseeing that the plants have been watered on a daily basis. Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and toting of the plants into the final stage of bins for processing. Detailed log keeping and strict adherence to the company's operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position. Following exact procedure outlines daily tasks from the Director of Cultivation and GM. This position will have daily log protocols for batch and stock tank check (ph,ec water temp). Room environment (humidity, temp, light intensity, c02). Plant checks (median weight, drip emitters). Veg and Flower room filters, to be removed and cleaned daily. Cleaning the facility, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming any standing water that can be from cleaning filters or mixing stock tanks.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES



? Daily checks of cannabis plants in veg and flower rooms, checking to make sure plants were watered, pruning (as needed) and inspecting the plants.

? Checking stock tanks water levels, ph / ec / water temp log recording daily according to cultivation protocols set forth by the director of cultivation.

? Careful monitoring of the cannabis plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.

? Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of cultivation facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines.

? Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.

? Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.

? Carefully follow directions as provided by the Director of Cultivation.

? Willingness to continue to learn best practices of cultivation with a strong interest in agriculture and automatic fertigation operating systems.

? Daily logs and checks of system monitors (veg, flower, and dry room)

? Cleaning facility Netafim micron filters on mixing tanks, batch tank pumps veg / flower rooms feed solenoids.

? Facility IPM program, if you are state pesticide certified for spraying veg and flower rooms.

? Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants.

? Daily personal responsibility to return any equipment used during the work hours to its designated place.

? Cleaning the facility, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming

? Cleaning veg and flower rooms during transitions, scrubbing trays, removing old grow medians, replenishing new grow medians, removing and reinstalling drip emitters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:



? Basic knowledge on how to use tools, plumbing, horticulture, agriculture or related fields is preferred, but not necessary. We will provide comprehensive training.

? Strong desire to work in cultivation or agriculture and a willingness to quickly learn about growing and harvesting quality cannabis plants.

? High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.

? Strong interpersonal skills; team player.

? Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment.

? Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, with no violent crime or controlled substance felonies and able to pass additional background screening.

? Candidates with current OCP Individual Identification Card will be prioritized if other qualifications are equal or thereabout.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:



Required: High School Diploma, Work Experience: 2 to 3 years working in a team environment. Basic understanding of how to use tools (screwdrivers, power tools, cutters, plumbing equipment)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:



? Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

? Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, employee handbooks and other company documents.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR TRAINING:



? Knowledge of state recreational marijuana regulations and cannabis health benefits (preferred but not necessary we will provide comprehensive training.)

? Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard to ensure plants are given ongoing attention and required care.

? Strong attention to detail in accurate log keeping.

? Willingness to continue to learn and grow with the company, improve cultivation skills and gain greater knowledge of cultivation processes.

? Integrity and respect toward others.

? Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.

? Ability to work as part of a team to achieve company goals.

? Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis.

? Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis.

? Ability to work daytime or evening hours. Potentially holidays.

? Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



The Cultivation Technician position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job.

Regularly required to do the following activities

? Extensive walking throughout the expansive facility environment.

? Standing for long periods without a break.

? Ability to lift 30 to 40 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet.

? Use hands to handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips

? Maintain balance while walking, standing or crouching.

? Twist upper torso.

? Reach up and out with hands and arms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
