Summary Statement
These positions provide human resource services for the DNREC Human Resources Office and may be required to work some weekends. They are responsible for helping with Human Resource (HR) functions including, but not limited to, onboarding and offboarding; employment eligibility verification; entering HR transactions in PHRST (our HR/Payroll system); updating and maintaining electronic personnel files; and answering / directing phone calls.
Essential Functions
Paraprofessional human resource work is characterized by the application of human resource laws, rules and regulations, providing technical assistance to employees, applicants and others in standard human resource transactions, human resource services, and maintaining personnel files. Examples of paraprofessional or technical responsibilities typically assigned include, but are not limited to those described in the Essential Functions below.
